1. What was your biggest accomplishment last year? I think my biggest accomplishment was taking the time off that I needed. It doesn't seem like much to say your accomplishment was to not do anything... but I needed a nice long break. Everybody does. I think I will try to do that more often. Maybe once every two or three years? I always thought I would go crazy from boredom without working... but not true!
2. What was your biggest disappointment? Oh goodness. What a question, eh? Um. I guess my biggest disappointment was the realization that life is only what you make of it. In some people's interpretation, that wouldn't be considered a disappointment, or maybe would be common knowledge. In a way I have always known that, I just held a little sliver of hope that maybe sometimes when you wish on a falling star, it comes true. Maybe sometimes good things just happen to good people, karma. I know those things are naive, but its just so much more bleak without them.
3. What do you hope the new year brings? This year I hope to start a little journey down a new path. I want to get excited about something, find something to do in school, or as a job, or volunteer work. Something that I can commit to and love and be happier for it. I hope every new year brings knowledge and understanding; a chance to re-evaluate my direction, my life, and find a new way to live. Even if its only new in a small aspect.
4. Any New Year's resolutions? Of course! I would like to:
- learn another language
- be more active, like going to the gym. or playing football with some friends on a sunday.
- start something in school
- take a Thai cooking class
- and be more healthy. drink more water, take my vitamins, eat well. sleep well, and on a regular schedule. stuff like that.
5. What were your plans for New Year's Eve?I went to a couple house parties and did the girls night out thing.
And on a whole different note, this is a lengthy, but amusing rant.
